Tu vuoi fa l'Americano: part 1

Here we are! After a travel of 15 hours (that what it took to me from my house in Pisa until Time Square in NY, and I can say that it's not the same at all!) Michele and me arrived in NY!

The travel was safe and relaxing, even if we didn't sleep too much. Iberia is a good aircompany but the sit places are very small and not so confortable and you don't have enough space. Consider also that the smart guy at the airport in Pisa gave us two tickets for two places ten rows far, so we traveled almost alone. You can find below some pics of NY from the airplane. You know something strange? When you arrive in NY, you look at your watch and you see that it's 01:00 am (Italian time), then you look outside and you see the sun.. IMPRESSIVE!

After having passed all the controls (now you spend almost ten minutes because the police takes your index fingers and makes you a pic) and having taken our lugagges (you can fly with 23 kgs lugagge, not more. If you want to take more you need to bring with you another bag with max 23 kgs more, for a total of 46 kgs) we moved to the center of NY. We stopped in Time Square where we met our friend Gianpiero (Gianpy) that is going to host us for some days. It was nice to see him again after so long time. Since when we met, we are spending time talking and sharing ideas and opinions. After this short time in NY we took a bus and we moved into Gianpy's place that is in Union City (NJ) that is just 20 minutes far away from Manhattan! The apartment is very nice, with a room and a living room. Michele and me slept on the sofa bed after a typical Italian dinner with pasta and two bottles of white wine!

Today we woke up at 6:30 and we went to run. After 1 hour run we came back to the house and we had a super fruit breakfast!

Now we are preparing for a long day around NY.

These are our first hours in US. Personally I feel excited even if a little wasted because of the jet lag. I'm even more convinced that this experience is what I need! Stay tuned on this blog for further news!

Cheers and peace
