Achieving the objectives
While I was looking at some friends blog, I read that many of them are talking about achieving objectives and realizing dreams. Is it normal? I guess yes, especially for people that don't love their comfort area and are always looking at something new.
In my previous post I wrote about "confusion" that sometime may help in setting objectives. My question now is: once that I know my objectives, how can I live to achieve it?I know that there are different kind of objectives.
For example at the moment I feel a little bit overweight, and I would like to loose some kilos. The only problem that I'm too lazy to run alone and I would like to do something with other people. That's why I'm continuing to postpone everything.
Another different objective is about my degree: I want to finish all my exams as soon as possible in order to achieve this objective, but I'm finding some problems in studying because I feel too tired to study in the night.
These are just some examples of individual objectives that I'm not achieving at the moment. In my life there are also some objectives that are not just up to me and that involve other people.
What do I have to do if the people that are directly involved in my objectives are not working with me for these? That's my question at the moment.
Do I have to change my objectives and objective-mate? That's the easiest solution. I've already tried to push the people in achieving the common objectives, with very few results. I'm thinking about my future everyday, because I want something great for my life and I don't know if I'll be able to wait for other people.. that's one of my limits. I'm an ambitious person and I like to decide about my life several years before.. but now I'm not able to plan and to take a decision because I'm waiting that someone else will wake up.. is it normal? I guess yes, because in my life I've to live with other people so I can't plan just by my own. So I've a new question: am I ready to wait for someone, a kind of Godot? About this question I'm still waiting for an answer.
"In the realm of ideas everything depends on enthusiasm.. in the real world all rests on perseverance."

hey what's up brother,
I see that you are continuing to ask to yourself "life question"...and I think it's normal and good for you.
Reading your history I have some thoughts to share.
Yes, sometimes the environment around us don't help to achieve our goals...but I want that you reflect on this.
OPTION ONE)When the environment is against to our objectives, we can concentrate all our resourses trying to do our best regarding ourself. It could be the right time to analyse what is going on in our life, what do you want to change, and what you can do with people close to you. So, it's the hard time to live your life and, most of the time, to motivate the life of other people.
OPTION TWO)When the environment is with you, you can appreciate that and try to find new energies for the future.
It's like a bike race when a group of people decide to go ahead, because they want to win and so achieve their goals and dreams, but they need each other to save energy and to reach as much speed as possible.
My question is: do you think that if in this group of people there is a dreamer, or a champion, and the group decide to not go ahead but just "walking" towards the arrival... do you think that the champion will accept that?
Probably, we will see the champion go ahead in the last part of the race trying to win alone. It's part of his nature, otherwise it should never been a champion.
But, the reflection point is... what happens in the mind of this person?
Probably... he's playing with the world around him. He will try to use all the resources around him (bikers, wind, mental power, motivation...) and he will continuisly try to identify the right combination to arrive at the end of the race in the best possible condition. And... in the last part of the race, he will follow his instinct to the final rush.
Analise yourself, know yourself (resources and dream), and instinct, are the possible answers to your question.
Sometimes, we are missing some of these part: goal not achievable, or we are tired and we want to push more, or we know what we want to achieve but we dont set in a right way our priority. Or some times, we don't follow our priority.
When we have priorities but we don't follow them, something is missing. In that case, we need to start again the process...like the champion. Everything should be in the right place and in the right moment.
And believe... the champion don't need to arrive 1st in each race. It's like a Tour de France or the "Giro d'Italia".
He get a balance each day... using all the resources..and waiting the right time to follow his instinct.
And at the end of the day... the champion knows that he has spent more energy than other people. But..he knows that he did it because its part of his happiness.. and because he knows that this is the way to motivate all his fans and all the new bikers generation. It's like a vision...a personal and ambitious vision.....
Sometimes we need some rest...some times we need to go ahead... but all the times, it depends from us. If you wait the group... probably... the day that it will decide to go ahead... you will not have the right conditions to lead it...because you are searching the speed and the motivation in the other people...and probably... this group is already following a new waive....
you can be inspired from others, but the rest it depend exclusively from you...
The motivation is inside us...and you have a lot of motivation... also to run or study after the working time... it's just time to wake up it...:-)))
The champion knows that, so, you know that... and for that reason... he's trying all the time the right combination to do the best possible with the available resources.
New people are coming in your house... for sure... someone is waiting to go to run...:-))) the football match with alumni is really close... and we need to defend our previous success... more difficult than the first time..:-))
But the champion... knows also this...:-))))
and the champion always know that "AT THE END OF THE DAY, HE HAS SPENT MORE ENERGY THAN OTHERS, BUT IT'S PART OF HIS NATURE".
Take care brother... I miss this kind of discussion.. but it's a pleasure to see them on your weblog
... some days ago I wrote something on my blog regarding "l'equilibrio relativo"... maybe be is related to this discussion...:-)))

Dude! What have you been smoking ???? Did Gianpy send you some Crap from Uptown manhattan because I see he is operating in the sme frequesncy with you. Anyway at some point in my life I also asked myself these types of questions(I still ask them up till now) personall I think you should focus on primary things first, start with objectives that you are the only one involved, like Loosing some Kilos. If you can handle this well, then you are in the path of handling the joint objectives well. Cmq if you can not even handle individual objectives well, handling joint objectives definitely will be a mirage! From a different perspective, it all boils down to Personal Discipline,If you have the personal discipline to do things that you have promised your self, then you also will be in the part of achieving your objective, take for instance, you promised yourself that you will loose a few Kilos, but you personal discipline is not strong enough to move your white ass up in the morning to do it, that is why you have not been able to achieve it, it cuts across everything quitting bad habbits, personal resolution etc!I strongly suggest that you be on the watch out for declining personal discipline, it started with loosing some Kilos, now it is about your degree, it is just like the bad Habit, it start as very weak cobwebs but ends up a stiffling iron chambers!
