National Congress 2: an amazing experience!

I spent all the last week in Lignano Sabbiadoro, close to Udine in the North-East of Italy, for our National Congress 2.

It was so amazing with an incredible atmosphere. I'm so excited about the new year that is waiting AIESEC in Italy because I had the chance to meet all the future leaders of our organization and I can say that are great people with a strong motivation and incredible potential. I hope that I'll be able to facilitate their growth and enable them to reach their objectives.

This congress was also amazing because in one day (5th of May) 25 managers of big companies came there to discuss with us about several issues and topics. It was so incredible to see the impact that AIESEC may have towards young people!

Other great things happened there: the Member Committee of AIESEC in Italy 2006/2007 has two new members. Laura from Catania and Daniele from Venice. I'm so happy for their elections. They are two great AIESECers, great people and great friends. With their help I'm even more sure that next year will be awesome!

But this congress wasn't only smiles and happiness. This CN2 was the last congress with my MC team of this year and I'm so sad about that. For many of us it will be our AIESEC conference, so it was a moment of reflection about our future out of AIESEC. I'm sure that the future of my lovely team mates will be great because they are great! So, good luck to all of you: Federico, Simona, Ferruccio, Chike, Ozlem, Luigi, Roberto, I'll miss you!

Being in AIESEC is always an unique emotion, I hope that everyone that's reading this post will have once in his life the chance to live this kind of feelings, inside or outside AIESEC. Life without this emotion is empty!

  • I'll be in China in just over a week. Will you come visit me? I expect that no matter where I go, if there's AIESEC, you'll be there.
And then Amit will pop up somehow to say hello. =)
