Weekend in Sicily!

I just came back from a wonderful week end in Sicily. I spent 3 awesome sunny days in one of the most beautiful regions in Italy (after Tuscan of course), with my love and a lot of good friends.

I arrived in Catania on Friday at 8:00 p.m. and I went with Tiziana to the degree party of my twin Luigi (we are twins since 3 years when we met because of AIESEC and we started a great friendship that is continuing until now and I hope it will last much more). We had a very nice night with some AIESEC friends: we laughed a lot, we had a lot of nice talks.

Luigi had some wonderful presents (a camera, a new motorbike/scooter, a shirt with his initials,..) and I just realized that take a degree is a big business! Now I finally have an objective in order to finish my exams!

It was strange being there.. It was strange how I met this guy for chance and now is one of my best friend. Of course I don't meet him so much, but it's always a joy and a big pleasure. And everything, once again, because of AIESEC.. life is strange especially in AIESEC!

After this party I spent all my time with Tiziana in Taormina, Giardini di Naxos, Piedimonte. We had such a great time together (like always): we talked so much and we are managing to know each other even better, day by day. I was so sad when I left to come back in Milan (not only because my trip was 6 hours long) because I'm understanding that we are still so far to live closer (Milan is in the northern part of Italy, Catania in the southern part). She has to finish the university before to move away from her house, I still have one more year in Milan for my President term.

But there's a big truth behind that: we are living very strong experiences that we need for our future (even if not together) and we don't wont to renounce to our dreams and desires. That's something that I love of our relationship and of her, I hope that'll last longer!

In the end, for a person like me with strong Sicilian origins (3 out of 4 my grandparents were borne in Sicily) this region is even more important, for the people that live there, for the experiences that I had there (I was elected as MCVP there), for the food (I've eaten so many wonderful sweeties there during the last four days) and for the love.
